After our visit to the ER vet on Sunday, Belle seemed much better and had a good Monday. However, I was up 4 times with her over Monday night with diarrhea. When I saw blood, I decided it was time to return to the vet. After examining her and doing blood work, the doctor could not find the cause of the diarrhea. The blood was caused by the bowel being irritated. I brought Belle home on medication and the next day, she was back to normal. She had to miss daycare but was able to go Friday. She was very excited and they were happy to have her back again. Because I was with Belle at the doctor’s, I canceled my appointment at the Heart Center. That’s been rescheduled to next week.

Marie and I had breakfast at Jack’s Outback. We always have plenty to discuss and set a date to meet right after Christmas before I leave. Next week, I’ll be having breakfast out 4 mornings.

The remainder of my window treatments were installed, my dishwasher, which was supposed to be delivered in May, is being delivered Thursday. My fireplace is connected and I’m just waiting for the remote control to be programmed by the plumber. The pergola over my garage door is built and will be attached Monday or Tuesday.

I wasn’t planning on Christmas decorations. But, Tim came over with 14 candles for my windows and lights to string around the front porch. It looks very festive. I’m waiting for my wreath to arrive. I bought a Yule log for (Uncle) Frank’s gravesite. Tim and I will string lights on the tree directly behind his stone. We did that last year and it was surprising how many people followed our lead. The cemetery looked so nice!

I had an appointment with my glaucoma doctor yesterday. My left eye (the good eye) has gotten worse. She prescribed additional drops for that eye. Unfortunately, the prescription was sent to the wrong pharmacy. So, I won’t be getting it until possibly Monday. Nothing ever goes smoothly. I have a follow up visit on the 23rd.

It has been pretty cold here. But, I’ve managed to get Belle out for 2 long walks a day and I’ve been able to get my runs in!

I’ve completed my Christmas shopping except for a couple of little things. Tomorrow, Tim and I are taking Emmet and Belle to have their picture taken with Santa!!!

Happy Waffle Day! Stay warm!
Love, (Auntie) Beverly
