It’s amazing how quickly the weeks fly by. Every day is busier than the day before. Belle and I spent our first night in our new home Wednesday. It felt good being here. The place looks like a war zone with boxes, suitcases, bags and plastic bins everywhere. The floors on the first floor are still covered with paper. I don’t want to place any rugs until everything is unpacked. That may be months away. I’ve promised myself that I will not rush and I will not stress myself any more then I have to. There are still so many decisions to make ! Belle adapted very well to our new home. She is such a sweetheart! This is such a major change for me but I love my condo and I know I will be happy here.

I met with the builder Monday and reviewed the punch list and when things will be completed. He said that some condo owners with pets asked about a fenced in outside area. So, he will be fencing in the backyards for pet owners. That will be great for Belle and me, too. The person designing my pergola will be coming from Connecticut to measure and will build it in Connecticut and ship it here. The dehumidifier arrived and I hired the painter to put waterproofing paint on the basement walls. We noticed a dramatical change in the level of the humidity overnight. The freezer door on my refrigerator still doesn’t stay closed. The serviceman from the appliance dealer came again but couldn’t fix it. I am lost without my freezer. Tim’s freezer is full of my goodies! The serviceman suggested I call GE, which I did. One of GE’s service people will come Friday.Yep! FRIDAY! I bought a new upright freezer for the garage that is arriving Saturday.😆

Every day, I go to Tim’s and fill my car with my belongings from his house. I should remind you that I have a Honda Fit, so it doesn’t take much to fill it.😊 But, it’s enough that I can unpack it right away and I’m not overwhelmed.

I bought a quilt hanger for my quilt that my family made for me from some of my racing t-shirts for my 70th birthday. I have a perfect spot for it. The hanger is Amish design in a coffee stain. It arrived and it is nicer than I could have imagined. Carole is sewing a sleeve on the quilt for me to hang it correctly. I can’t wait to see it up. I know it will be outstanding!

Belle and I ran one mile today. She loved it. She kept looking up at me as if she was thinking, “Wow! I didn’t think the old lady had it in her”.

Now, as if I wasn’t getting lazy enough, I discovered I have voice control on my TV. I don’t even need to push a button on the remote!!

Happy Waffle Day! Don’t worry, I may not have my freezer but I always have my waffle maker!😋. Love, (Auntie) Beverly
