Tim and I made so many decisions and had a great week. Things are finally starting to gel together and I’m reenergized.

My dining room chandelier was supposed to arrive but I received an email saying that shipping was delayed. I’m anxious to see it and hope that I like it. The freezer issue continues. GE service came. He tightened this and loosened that. Finally, he decided to order new baskets. He will return August 18. Unbelievable! If what he has done and the new baskets solve the problem , that’s it. If it doesn’t solve the problem, then they might give me a new refrigerator. As far as I’m concerned, there’s no MAYBE! This wasn’t the first time they saw this problem. My new upright freezer arrived at 7:20 this morning. I put a bottle of water in it and it was frozen in no time. They took the old chest freezer away with them which was wonderful. One less thing to do. Habitat for Humanity came and took the dresser and mirror I had with the queen bed. There’s no way it could fit in the second bedroom. I may have someone interested in the maple chest on chest and curio cabinet. Again, I have no room.

Tim and I went to DiParma to celebrate my new home. He had chicken parm. I had eggplant parm. It was the best eggplant parm I’ve had. That’s my new choice for dinner at DiParma. We went shopping and I found a couch that I love. It’s a neutral color and has 2 electric recliners! That was a huge selling point for me. Then, at Ethan Alan, I bought a piece for the dining room. It,s a combination bookcase/display case. It’s perfect! I’m waiting until next weekend to actually purchase these items because it’s tax free weekend. I’ll save a lot waiting. By using a little Yankee Ingenuity, we were able to find a way to keep some items that I thought I would have to get rid of. I want to keep as much as I can.

After painting the basement walls with Dry Lok, I decided to have the floor done, also. One of the men working here is doing it in his off time for me. I picked a lighter color grey and it makes the basement much lighter. I wish I had known sooner that there were different colors. I would have had a lighter color on the walls. Oh well! It still looks good AND serves a purpose. However, as you might have guessed, I opened a Pandora’s Box and now I’m having the garage floor painted!!🤣

Belle and I were walking on Bridge St. and the person who bought my house stopped. Long story short, a package for me had been delivered there. I went back to the house and they both came out to talk. They love the house and said it was obvious that we had taken good care of the house and property. They couldn’t believe that other than fertilizing, we did everything ourselves. It was nice to hear. They asked if I wanted to see inside but I declined and they understood. It’s not my house and I don’t want to see changes. Belle and I are very happy in our new home. I’ve met some very nice people here and when everything is completed, it will be a beautiful community. There are only 2 more units left to sell.

The electrician is scheduled to finish up in my house this week and then the painter will do his touch up. That should be it.

Happy Waffle Day ! Love, (Auntie) Beverly
