That describes the past week perfectly! If it wasn’t for Tim and Carole, I wouldn’t have made it through the week. The movers were great and even though it rained, everything went well. The biggest issue is what they term “the punch list”. This is when the subcontractors come in and complete the “little things”. There is no such thing as “little” things”. Not when there are people coming whenever they choose and still not completing their tasks. This has been the worst part of the whole move. You cannot rely on anybody! The stairs going to the second floor were not done well at all. The owner of the painting company came over and redid them. They are beautiful now. I am shocked at how much I have to get rid of including furniture and tons of odds an ends. I’m trying to unpack but it’s difficult with people coming and going. My original plan was to sell things on Facebook . But now, I just want to donate everything and get rid of it. I’m worn out. I ordered the window treatments for the first floor. I’m still suffering from sticker shock. The lady is coming back this week to measure the second floor. I’m planning to purchase the same ones. Xfinity came and installed my cable, internet, landline and home security. The technician was there from 9:00 -7:00. I had purchased my own modem and it just wouldn’t work right. The poor guy tried. I ended up leasing the modem from Xfinity. Everything is working well together. I bought a Ring doorbell which the electrician I is going to install someday. The painter still has to come back to put one more coat of polyurethane on the stairs and do some touch up work. He is a very nice man. Landscaping was supposed to be done today. I took a day off and didn’t go to the condo at all today. I went to Hyannis to return the modem and pick up a couple of other things. I’m looking forward to seeing it tomorrow. Tim and I put out the rugs on the second floor. It really makes a difference. Beth came Thursday and she and Tim were able to move some things around. The electrician will be back in 2 weeks to finish up his work (maybe). I’ve heard that before. I’ve met a couple of my close neighbors who seem very nice.

On the medical side, the neurosurgeon gave me a different medication. My hip/thigh issue was getting better before I started the new med but I thought I’d take it for a few days to see if it hastens things along. I was supposed to have a virtual visit with my primary care but I canceled it. What can he tell with a camera. It’s doing fine. It’s not back to normal but almost. I’m hoping to run tomorrow. It’s been a long time.

Happy Waffle Day. (Auntie) Beverly

My new front door. I love it!
