Hope everyone enjoyed the 4th. Because of the lousy weather, we postponed our celebration until Monday. We had a great day! Carole and Rick, Stephanie and Chris, their 2 children and Beth were here enjoying a beautiful day in the pool with plenty of snacks, conversation and plenty of food. Belle and Emmet loved all the attention!

After I left a message at my neurosurgeon’s office complaining about the lack of attention I was receiving, I received a phone call telling me I had an appointment the next day. The neurosurgeon went over my MRI with me. The MRI didn’t show anything different except that the position of one of the nerves between 2 of the vertebrae. He gave me a prescription for nerve pain. It’s not a narcotic. He warned me it MIGHT make me drowsy. Because I was anxious to relieve the pain, I took one around 5:00 just before dinner. I became very lethargic and felt like I was in a complete fog. It was horrible! I couldn’t function. I slept soundly all night and still had a hangover until late afternoon the next day. There is no way I am continuing to take them. If there is no major problem with my back, the pain should eventually go away. He told me I can start running in 2 weeks.

After 3 delays the morning of the big move, it finally happened. The movers did a good job. There is no doubt that I will have to get rid of a lot of furniture. Tim has been a major help! Monday will be the final move. Beth is coming Thursday to help with unpacking. Belle and I should be sleeping there next weekend for sure.

Happy Waffle Day! (Auntie) Beverly
