The story of my life!
Tim returned from NY on Sunday. Monday, we had a Welcome Back breakfast at Grumpy’s. We went early and there were plenty of tables.

Belle has started doing a little running with me and seems to enjoy it. She constantly looks up at me while we’re running as if she’s thinking, “Wow, is she really doing this”?

The results of my biopsy came in. The dermatologist said it was, as she expected, precancerous cells. Nothing to be concerned about. Of course, it’s not her scalp! In 6 weeks, she will do the liquid nitrogen treatment. I believe this is #5. It’s a stubborn little thing!

Carole, Rick and I were able to meet Thursday for breakfast. That’s always a treat. We never run out of things to discuss nor problems to solve. Stephanie and Chris’s daughter had been Baptized on the previous Sunday. Carole made Liza’s dress and bonnet. She brought a piece of the fabric to show me. The outfit was absolutely beautiful! What a wonderful talent to have! Carole’s work is amazing! She can sew anything. I sew on a button and it falls off!!

Here’s a question for you. May 25 was last week. May 25, 1947 was an important day in my life. Why?

I had another visit from (Uncle) Frank last week. I know you naysayers don’t believe it BUT, I’m sure it was him. I woke up during the night and out of the corner of my eye I could see him laying there scratching his face. When I turned my head, he disappeared. I know it was him because he’s the only person I know who didn’t scratch his face with his fingertips. He used the flat side of the ends of his fingers just like the person in the bed next to me did. It was him! No doubt!

Closing date is approaching very quickly. I spoke to a mover who is going to meet me Tuesday to look at what I have in the storage units. I made an appointment to look at window treatments. I’m reviewing the home insurance policy. I have spoken at length with Xfinity and waiting for a call to begin service. I met with the builder Thursday afternoon. I am getting everything I want including being able to select the flowers, bushes, etc. that I want. A landscaper friend is going to help me. Now, for the big announcement. Drum roll, please!! I’m NOT closing next Friday! As I expected, the condo will not be ready. I’m very disappointed but I don’t want to rush them. I thought I would be moved in around June 12th. Not happening! I called my lawyer who is requesting an extension which will be July 7 or 8. It is what it is and that’s ok. Needless to say, that meant a morning of phone calls to cancel or reschedule all I had done.

Our diocese is opening up the churches and church activities are beginning. I have to be recertified to serve as Eucharistic Minister. It involves an online Safe Haven course. It’s a lot of common sense but time consuming and involves a test at the end of each section. I already have my May and June assignments. Martha’s Ministry is starting and we already have a funeral next week. I’m waiting in to hear from my other 2 groups. It will be nice to be involved again. I’ve been asked to join the women’s club but they don’t meet in the summer and I’m away in the Winter. I’ll think about it.

The weather here is cold and rainy for the holiday weekend. The veterans group placed flags in the cemetery and I brought flowers for (Uncle) Frank.

Happy Waffle Day! Love 💕 to all, (Auntie) Beverly.
