I stopped doing the other blog because I thought it was getting boring to everyone. I was surprised at how many of you were sorry to see it end. I guess it is a good way to keep in touch with everyone and I enjoy doing that. My life has changed dramatically since my last posting. The past few months have been difficult with major decisions to be made and not everyone agreeing with me. There were times during the summer that I didn’t think I would make it through. But, you know that Slovak blood. There’s no such thing as giving up. I finally realized that I am important to me and it’s time to take care of me!

You all know about my beautiful Belle. She is such a joy and makes me laugh every day. I didn’t laugh for a long time. She keeps me very busy!! We went to Florida for October and November returning in time for Thanksgiving. Due to Covid, Thanksgiving was very quiet. Jill was supposed to come to Tim’s but we all agreed it was best if we all stayed home. Tim, Beth and I celebrated together. As I said, it was peaceful and relaxing.

As some of you know, I purchased a condo last May. It was another major decision and I’m confident I did the right thing for me. It is in Dennis Village about 2 miles from our house on Bridge St. I honestly think that a 3500 sq. ft. house on an acre of land was too much for me to try to keep up alone. They are framing my condo now. Each one is freestanding. There are 28 units. I have 1867 sq. ft. With a porch, small yard with a patio, garage and full size basement. A major item for me was a generator which will be installed. The builder has been absolutely wonderful. My closing date is April 15th. I’ll be back from Florida April 1st. Perfect timing!

I sold my house this summer. The realtor did a wonderful job. It was on the market 2 days and I got 2 offers. It was amazing! After that, everything moved quickly. Luckily, Tim and Beth jumped right in and helped me clean things out and pack. It was a very emotional and overwhelming summer. There were days that I spent in a very dark place. But, with Tim and Beth’s support I made it through. They spent several hours every day helping me . Although we all had some stressful times, we knew there was a light at the end of the tunnel. I closed on September 7th. Tim offered me his pool house to stay in. I put all of my belongings in storage and Tim’s basement and Belle and I moved into the pool house. As many of you know, the pool house is more than a changing room. There is a full kitchen, bathroom, 2 bedrooms and 2 game rooms. Belle and I have all of the comforts of home.

I won’t be posting every day. Stay safe!

Love ❤️
