I had the vascular test on my legs, Monday. It was quite an experience. The technician applied 2 blood pressure cuffs on each thigh, 1 on each calf, 1 on each ankle, 1 on each foot and I’m not sure what it was but, she attached something to my toes. She also applied a cuff to each arm. Then, each cuff was inflated one at a time. The cuff on the top of the thigh hurt a lot when inflated. The technician said that many people complain about that. I had to wait for the report and thankfully everything is normal. I was scheduled to have the stress test on Wednesday morning. The day before, I received a phone call that the technician was sick so, the test had to be rescheduled. The next earliest date? The morning before we leave for Florida. On Friday, I was scheduled for 2 doctor’s appointments. Gyn in the morning and glaucoma eye doctor in the afternoon in Sandwich. Wednesday, I got a call that my eye appointment must be rescheduled. Doctor went into labor! Next available appointment? Same morning as my stress test! After some discussion, I decided to wait and scheduled an appointment in April.

What else could possibly happen? After waiting 1 1/2 months, my kitchen pendant light for over the sink arrived. If you remember, in the summer, I ordered a light which arrived broken. They sent a replacement which also arrived broken. Excited, I was anxious to open the new light which I thought was the perfect choice. As I removed it from the box I was happy to see it was intact. However, it was the wrong light. To make a very long story short, after several emails back and forth and unable to reach a compromise, I filed a dispute with my credit card who said they didn’t think there would be a problem getting a refund. I called Ethan Allen because I am supposed to receive the piece I bought for my dining room this week. The date changed to January 10. I explained I can’t be here to accept it . New delivery date? Week of April 18.

Christmas was very nice. Tim, Emmet, Belle and I had a very nice day. We attended 10:00 Mass which was offered for (Uncle) Frank. We spent the day at my house and it was a busy, fun day. Beth was supposed to join Tim and I. But, because she hadn’t received the booster shot, we all agreed she should not come. Jill’s children got Covid even though they had the vaccine. We’re hoping to celebrate Christmas and Easter together in the spring.

Next time you hear from me I’ll be in sunny, warm Florida! Love, (Auntie) Beverly
