Tim and Emmet arrived Monday. They had some car and weather issues to deal with on their trip but arrived safe and sound. Tim and Alexandra enjoyed their visit together in D.C. and spent time with Emmet visiting several of the monuments. Fortunately, the rental car could be returned at the Aventura Mall which is only about one mile from Tim’s townhouse. Tim and Emmet are enjoying the warmer weather and doing a lot of walking. Monday morning, we will have breakfast at Mo’s!

I finally spoke with my cardiologist’s assistant. There was good news and not so good news. The amount of blood being pumped in the heart and the force of the pumping is within the normal range. Also, there are no blockages. However, the mitral and aortic valve are not closing correctly and blood is leaking back eventually the cause of Congestive Heart Disorder. The mitral valve leaking is moderate – severe. The aortic valve is moderate. Treatment is usually started when the damage is moderate – severe. But, because presently, I don’t seem to be suffering any of the symptoms, they prefer to wait because of the risks involved in the treatment. As soon as I notice any changes, I was told to notify my cardiologist. In the meantime, I will have frequent checkups and report any changes. As far as knowing when I could expect changes to occur is anybody’s guess.

I’ve contacted a trainer here to start therapy training with Belle. Classes start early February. My major problem is that class is at 7:00 pm. I don’t like driving at night especially not being familiar with the roads. I’m hoping I can get into an afternoon class.

I spent this week looking at thousands of pendant lights for my kitchen. I haven’t had much luck in that department. I did find one that I really like. I am hoping to have it delivered here and if I like it send it home with Tim. If I don’t like it, send it back and look some more. This light is nothing like what I was originally looking for. I didn’t watnt clear glass and I didn’t want the bulb to be visible. Guess what? That’s exactly what this one is !

Hope everyone is keeping warm!

Happy Waffle Day ! (Auntie) Beverly

If you look closely, you can see that the glass is pressed between thin chicken wire.2
