Belle and I are very lucky and we know it! We had a great flight down. Because of traffic, we didn’t have to sit around the terminal for long. Just had time to get a coffee to bring on the plane. This was the first time the 2 seats next to us were occupied. They were an elderly couple. I had selected the second row window seat. When we got to the row, the woman quickly asked me if I might prefer the aisle seat. She was visibly annoyed when I said I wasn’t interested in changing. When I started to get into the seat, she asked if I wanted to put my carrier in the overhead space. She was shocked when I told her that it was my dog. I can only imagine what she was thinking.🤣 Then, her husband started this thick mucus coughing. I know I looked concerned. I didn’t try to hide it. She told me that it was a chronic cough. He was not sick! Great! I’m sure she thought Belle was something to worry about. I had to worry about this cough right next to me for 3 hours. However, everything went well. When we arrived at Tim’s townhouse, the little girl next door was outside playing. She started yelling, “Beverly and Belle are here.” She was very excited! A little later, she knocked on the door and handed me a Welcome Home sign she had made. Very nice!

Belle and I went to Panera Bread for dinner. She was very good. She remembered being there before. I had planned on going to Publix to get something for breakfast in the morning and get some necessary groceries. But, after dinner, I decided Publix could wait. We watched the Red Sox beat the Yankees.

We slept late (for us) in the morning and returned to Panera for breakfast. Again, Belle was on her best behavior. Obviously, we sat outside and it was beautiful sitting in the shade. Very peaceful! After breakfast, we took a long walk all in the shade. When we got back home, Belle took a nap and I went to Publix. I was happy to see the fresh microwaveable vegetables that I love, were on sale. I stocked up on them. Also, they had the Ben & Jerry doggie ice cream. We don’t have it on the Cape. Of course, I bought some for Belle. She loved it !

Belle had her annual physical and her vaccinations updated yesterday. She passed everything with flying colors. She weighs 18 lbs. Perfect! She received her official Dade County license. She was very excited and knew where we were the minute I pulled into the parking lot.

Today, we went for coffee at our neighbor’s. I brought a chocolate Babka and Sylvia made Brazilian cheese balls. Everything was delicious. But, just sitting and talking was the best part. The two dogs, Hunter and Belle, were very good.

Tuesday, I’m having the second phase of my dental implant. Yuck!!

Happy waffle Day! Love, (Auntie) Beverly
