It’s amazing how time flies! It’s Sunday and you turn around and the next weekend is here! I can’t believe that in less than 3 weeks, we leave for Florida.

The electrician finally came and did everything except install my door bells. The reason (believe it or not) is no batteries came with the door bells. That was last Wednesday and he still hasn’t returned. However, he did install the outlets I requested for the basement, moved the light in the powder room, replaced outside lights and installed the dining room chandelier and semi flush ceiling light in the loft. Unfortunately, the pendant light I ordered for over the kitchen sink arrived damaged. It is scheduled to arrive this week but that doesn’t mean it will be installed this week. I finally emptied the totes in the garage. It feels good to be able to have more room out there not having to crawl over and around the totes.

My new couch arrived. I’m very happy with it. Very comfortable! Just ask Belle. She loves it as much as the egg chair. We sit out on the porch every evening just swinging and relaxing. A couple of neighbors have commented how much they like it.

Last week, I returned to the dermatologist. She did another treatment on my scalp (#6). Just can’t seem to get rid of it. If this doesn’t work, she’ll do another biopsy(#3). Also, she burned 2 spots on my face. The good news was that when she did a complete body check, she didn’t see anything else. Yesterday, I spent 2 hours in urgent care. A few weeks ago, it felt as if I had a splinter in my finger. I didn’t pay any attention to it. But, as the days passed, it began to hurt more and more and then it started to swell. Thursday night, I was awake quite a bit because my finger was painful and throbbing. I decided I should have it checked. Obviously, there was an infection. I had X-rays taken to make sure there wasn’t a foreign object imbedded. There wasn’t. I was sent home with antibiotics. I was also given a combined tetanus and pertussin shot. It is feeling a little better already. I was told I was smart to come in. I felt a little silly sitting there complaining about a sore finger but who knows what it could have led to.

Georgie, from Long Island is visiting tomorrow. It will be good to see him. Although we email back and forth, I haven’t seen him since (Uncle) Frank’s funeral.

Happy Waffle Sunday! Love, (Auntie) Beverly!

Did you think I would let Belle lay on our new couch without a cover?
